Ce fil nécessite pour sa mise en œuvre un gaz de protection argon+ CO² 12 / 15%
Ce fil est prévu pour réaliser un cordon de soudure sur une tôle à galvaniser ou une tôle galvanisée.
Dans le second cas, la galvanisation est donc brulée et devra être renouvelée sur le cordon de soudure par une galvanisation à froid.
Les fumées de soudure d'un acier galvanisé sont particulièrement nocive et il est fortement préconisé de porter une protection respiratoire durant cette action de soudage.
Afin d'être en présence de moins de ce type de fumée durant l'opération de soudage, vous pouvez au préalable à l'endroit du cordon de soudure meuler à blanc le métal afin de faire disparaitre la galvanisation.
Même dans ce second cas une protection respiratoire est conseillée.
