This policy is intended to inform you of how we, the company EURO-WELDING, as data controller, use and protect your personal data, as well as the reasons why we process your data.
1. What personal data do we collect?
The personal data entrusted to us includes your last name, first name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. We ensure that the personal data we collect is limited to what is strictly necessary to enable us to manage our customers, prospects or suppliers and to comply with our regulatory obligations. We process it with the utmost care and respect. We do not retain any customer payment data.
2. How do we collect your personal data?
We collect personal data either directly from you, via paper form, telephone or the internet, or it is transmitted to us by a third party to whom you have given your consent.
3. What are the legal bases for processing your personal data?
We need to process your data in the context of your information request and for the management of the execution of the sales contract or services. We may also be required to use your personal data in the context of legal obligations.
4. To which recipients may your personal data be disclosed?
In order to fulfil the aforementioned purposes, we may be required to disclose certain of your personal data to three types of recipients:
- to carriers in the event of a product order;
- to our trusted service provider for sending newsletters (e-mail address only);
- to judicial or administrative authorities in the context of legal obligations.
Under no circumstances do we transmit your data to third parties without your authorisation.
5. How and where do we store your personal data?
The personal data we hold is stored on our computers, our mobile phones in some cases, and our web host in France. We do everything possible to store personal data in the safest and most secure manner, and to retain it only for as long as necessary. We take appropriate physical, technical and organisational measures to prevent, to the greatest extent possible, any personal data breach.
A backup is stored with Dropbox. All files stored online by Dropbox are encrypted and kept on multiple secure servers located in the United States, considered by the European Union as an "adequate" country with regard to data security. Dropbox adheres to the privacy principles of the Privacy Shield programme ("Safe Harbor") developed by the United States Department of Commerce in consultation with the European Commission.
6. How long do we retain your personal data?
We retain your personal data for the duration necessary for our relationship, plus 5 years, unless a longer legal or regulatory obligation applies.
7. Exercise of your rights
With regard to the personal data concerning you that we hold, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure and portability, which you may exercise directly with EURO-WELDING, upon simple request by phone, e-mail, contact form or post, and by enclosing a double-sided copy of a proof of identity.
In accordance with applicable regulations, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
